With our Pallet Racking Direct service we pride ourselves on being able to offer an array of solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. From our drive in pallet racking to our anti-collapse mesh, we feel it’s important to offer a variety of options to meet even the most bespoke of storage and organisational requirements. For example, what may be a viable option for a smaller business won’t necessarily meet the needs of a larger company, and vice-versa.
Regarding smaller companies, we know it can be difficult with smaller levels of financial freedom so we felt we would offer some of the useful tips we’ve picked up along the way for your consideration, and for you to potentially utilise to help with your warehouse storage.
As well as considering writing directly on your boxes, it is worthwhile to consider labelling your warehouse aisles. It can be easy to mislay something if your staff aren’t in tune with your warehouse, so why even take the risk? For the sake of a few minutes and a couple of pounds you can help to give your warehouse a much more defined level of organisation.
This makes a lot of sense, but so few companies actually do it; why not keep your best selling products easier to hand, i.e. at the front of the rest of the stock. This is a particularly ergonomic way of going about things in that it will save you fairly substantial amounts of time over the course of a week, let alone a year!
This should be obvious, but you’d be surprised… Not only does it protect your stock, but storing lighter items on top of heavier items can help to prevent the number of workplace injuries. If you don’t have machinery selecting your inventory for you, then this really is the only way to conduct your business.
The way and manner that you store your stock can have all sorts of efficient implications, from time-saving to money saving; it’s the way you undertake the smaller things, in regard to storage, that can truly impact your overall efficiency, and ultimately, overheads. So if you are a smaller business and aren’t currently utilising any of the above, then we recommend you consider incorporating our organisational tips. Equally, if you are yet to utilise a pallet racking system in your warehouse, you should give our team a call and allow us to explain the benefits.
Much like the above, they will provide you with an ergonomic and product protecting organisational system. So get in touch! You can contact us on 01444 220 290, where we will be eagerly awaiting the opportunity to set your warehouse up with our high quality organisational tools.
