Feature and Benefits of using a Very Narrow Aisle Racking

By using specialist lift trucks in either VNA ‘man-down’ or ‘man-up’ variants or articulated Bendi or Flexi trucks, narrow aisle pallet racking is precision designed for safe, efficient load handling within the tight confines of these space-efficient aisles. Shelf Space has recently completed a substantial pallet racking project which provided over 4500 Euro pallet spaces within a narrow racking layout working in conjunction with a Linde 'man-up' truck.

The Modern 'man-up' style trucks or VNA trucks

Generally, 'man-up' style trucks are guided within the aisles by wires (embedded within the concrete floor) or steel guide rails located along the base of the racking which allows the driver to concentrate on loading and unloading the pallet efficiently and safely which dramatically reduces the Incidence of accidental racking damage. Modern VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) trucks are easily capable of lifting the driver and a one-tonne pallet over 17 metres high.
