Warehouse pallet racking is one of the most widely used for the storage of palletised and non-palletised loads, available today. Single or double-sided runs of racking are separated by wider aisles which can be sized to suit the customer’s existing forklift trucks. Usually between 2.5 and 4 metres dependent on if a reach truck or counterbalance truck is being used. Where smaller aisles are required we offer a range of narrow aisle pallet racking with aisles as small as 1.6 metres and these are serviced with a specialist VNA narrow aisle truck.
Pallet racking comes in all sorts of configurations, but the importance of getting the basics right is the key to any successful storage project. For safe and efficient operation, Industrial racking systems must be designed to fit and function with both the handling equipment and the load.
Easily installed, cost-effective and versatile, adjustable beam pallet racking is the most widely used of the pallet storage systems and allows direct access to each pallet stored. By selecting from a wide range of sizes and duties for standard frame uprights and beams, warehouse pallet racking can be configured to meet precise criteria in terms of load volume and weight, accessibility, handling requirements and space utilisation.
Pallet racking in its standard form provides safe, cost-effective storage for many different kinds of goods and materials. But for increased versatility pallet racking also offers a range of practical add-on accessories to make the storage and handling of goods even easier. Shelf Space offers a wide range of storage solutions including high-density mobile pallet racking systems as well as racking accessories such as anti-collapse mesh and bespoke pallet racking.
Beams can be removed and repositioned when changes in use of the racking occur. Although our pallet racking is adjustable, once the beams are slotted into position in the frame uprights, an interlocking structure of great strength and rigidity is maintained.
Each beam is supplied complete with a pair of steel safety locking pins. When located they ensure the beam is correctly positioned and help prevent the beam being dislodged during use. Beam load capacities
Conventional warehouse racking is mainly used for the storage of timber of plastic pallets but with the addition of chipboard, timber slatted decking panels or wire mesh shelves you can create picking storage levels within the racking layout. You can mix & match the rack usage if required. Where higher density storage is required we are UK suppliers of drive-in pallet racking systems. Maybe adding a picking level at or near the floor and bulk pallet storage above. As with all our pallet racking products Standard pallet racking is extremely flexible and we can adapt the racking specification to match your own individual requirements. Heights, widths, depths and load capacities can all be matched with what you need to store and how you want to access these items.
